TX-71 west of Southwest Parkway reopened following crash

AUSTIN, TX – According to tweets from TxDot Austin, TX-71 west of Southwest Parkway has reopened following a crash.

Traffic Advisory: SH 71 closed west of Southwest Pkwy due to crash. Consider alternate routes until cleared. #atxtraffic

The incident took place at around 3 a.m. this morning and the road reopened at around 8 a.m. Drivers were advised to avoid the area due to the accident.

It is currently unclear what caused the accident or if anyone was hurt. This post will be updated if authorities release ned details.
