UPDATE: Driver arrested following fatal crash on Dessau Road near Parmer Lane

AUSTIN, TX – According to KXAN, a driver has been arrested following a fatal crash on Dessau Road near Parmer Lane that took place on Monday.

The incident occurred at around 1:50 p.m. when a Toyota Carolla, Audi, Dodge Ram, Infinity, and Capital Metro bus collided. The Toyota’s driver, 36-year-old Octavia Antoinette Scales was arrested for second-degree intoxication manslaughter. She reportedly was under the influence of marijuana, a muscle relaxer, a nerve blocker, and a blood pressure medication.

The passenger in her vehicle, Latesha Washington, 46, was killed in the accident.
