UPDATE: Failure to yield led to fatal crash involving HFD truck on Holly Hall St
HOUSTON, TX — The Houston Police Department has cited failure to yield as a contributing factor in a fatal collision this past Wednesday, April 9, in the city’s Astrodome area, reports ABC13.
The accident occurred on a span of Holly Hall Street at State Highway 288. Shortly after 11:00 a.m., Houston Police and first responders had been dispatched to the scene.
According to a preliminary investigation by the HPD, a Houston Fire Department truck was responding to a call and had its emergency lights and sirens activated. At one point, another driver failed to yield to the truck, causing a crash that flipped the striking vehicle onto its roof.
At this time, no information indicating potential injuries has been announced.
