UPDATE: New details released on Rutland Drive crash involving a building
AUSTIN, TX – KXAN has reported new information on the crash that took place on Rutland Drive when a pickup truck struck a building.
The accident took place on Sunday at around 9 p.m. A pickup truck lost control when it sped around a 90-degree curve. The truck went flying and crashed into a second-story window at the Villas Del Sol Apartments. The apartment was unoccupied at the time of the crash.
One of the truck’s occupants was hospitalized due to the accident. Two other individuals fled the crash scene.
The accident reportedly caused $20,000 worth of damage.
Police are still investigating the crash and no arrests have been made at this time.
