Update: Officials ID victims killed in July 10 crash on I-35 and E 53rd St

AUSTIN, TX – Authorities have identified the two men who were killed after their car fell off the side of the I-35 frontage road bridge on July 10, according to KXAN.

This is an update to a previous news story.

The crash occurred in the 5200 block of the N I-35 frontage road, near E 53rd Street, at about 4:20 a.m., when a vehicle fell off the frontage road bridge and onto the roadway below.

20-year-old David Bearden and 38-year-old Charlie Jackson, both of whom were passengers, were ejected during the crash. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

A third passenger was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

The driver then fled the scene.
