UPDATE: Police identify teens killed in North Austin crash

AUSTIN, TX – Authorities with the Austin Police Department have identified two teens who died in a previously reported North Austin crash after running a traffic light in a stolen vehicle last Friday morning.

According to KXAN, Julian Murillo, 15, and Gabrial Marmolejo, 16 were driving a stolen Nissan Versa through the intersection of Cameron Road and East Anderson Lane. The two teens ran a red light and collided with another vehicle crossing the intersection.

One occupant in the Nissan was ejected from the vehicle. Both died at the scene of the crash shortly after. The driver in the vehicle that was crossing the intersection legally was taken to the hosptial to be treated for minor injures.

Austin Police say the investigation into this crash is still underway.
