Update: Victim ID’d in December’s pedestrian accident on Northgate Blvd
AUSTIN, TX – A previously-unidentified pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle in December died of his injuries a few days later, according to KXAN.
The victim is 65-year-old Narciso Mejia Gutierrez, who was struck by a vehicle on December 18 at about 7 p.m., after he walked onto Northgate Boulevard.
The crash occurred near Colony Creek Drive, when the driver of a black 2007 Honda Civic was unable to avoid colliding with the victim.
Gutierrez was taken to the hospital, and died a few days later, on December 21.
The driver, who was not reported as injured, has not yet been charged with a crime.
Authorities continue to investigate the accident at this time.
