Vehicle fire reported in East Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Fire and emergency services responded to a collision with a reported vehicle fire in East Austin Tuesday evening.

According to the official Twitter page of Austin – Travis County EMS, the crash occurred shortly before 6:00 p.m. near the intersection of Farm-to-Market 969 Road and Gilbert Road.

Initial reports were of two vehicles involved in the crash and one vehicle had caught fire as a result.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the collision. However, authorities are advising motorists to avoid the area throughout Tuesday night while the crash is investigated and cleared from the roadway.
