Victim identified in fatal South Austin pedestrian crash

AUSTIN, TX – Authorities with the Austin Police Department identified the female pedestrian killed in a South Austin collision in early July.

According to KXAN, 71-year-old Charlotte Dukes was struck by the driver of a Honda Civic within the eastbound lanes of Stasseney Lane near the intersection with Mira Lane on July 10th.

Dukes was hospitalized for 20 days before succumbing to her injuries on July 30th. The driver involved in the collision remained on the scene of the crash and continues to cooperate with the police.

No word on if any charges will be filed in connection to the incident has been released as of yet.
