Victim in San Antonio shooting causes multi-vehicle crash

SAN ANTONIO – One man was hospitalized following a shooting and multi-vehicle collision along I-35 Saturday evening.

According to News 4 San Antonio, police responded to the shooting within the 6200 block of IH-35  near Mendoza’s Auto Sales. They arrived on the scene to discover that a motorist had caused a four-vehicle crash involving an 18-wheeler after being shot and losing control of his vehicle.

Investigators believe the victim returned to his vehicle after being shot in the leg and reversed directly into oncoming freeway traffic.

The victim was rushed to a local hospital where they remain in unknown condition as of Friday evening. No other drivers were injured as a result of the accident.
