Woman hospitalized after Spicewood pin-in collision
SPICEWOOD, TX – One woman needed to be flown to the hospital after a collision on State Highway 71 during Friday morning’s rush-hour traffic.
According to KXAN, the incident occurred on SH-71 near Oscar Road shortly before 8:00 a.m. Initial reports were of a single-vehicle collision with one person pinned inside.
Officials with Austin-Travis County EMS were able to extract the driver who was subsequently airlifted to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious injuries that are not expected to be life-threatening.
