Woman injured in distracted-driving crash on Hwy 183 in S Travis County
TRAVIS COUNTY, TX – A woman was injured following a distracted-driving crash on Highway 183 in southern Travis County on Tuesday morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
The collision occurred south of Colton at 9315 U.S. 183, near Shively Lane, at 9:53 a.m., as the 56-year-old driver of a blue 2003 Ford failed to control the speed of her vehicle. She was also driving with a distraction in her car.
The front of her vehicle then crashed into the rear of a green 2004 Ford being driven by a 29-year-old man.
The female driver sustained minor injuries in the crash. The other driver was not reported as hurt.
