Woman severely injured after crash with 18-wheeler

HOUSTON, TX – There was an intense crash involving a sedan and 18-wheeler early Saturday morning on S Sam Houston Parkway East, according to Click 2 Houston.

A woman driving a sedan missed her exit near Culled Boulevard and went under an H-E-B 18-wheeler, causing an accident at around 3:57 a.m.

When coming to a stop, the trailer dragged the woman’s sedan about 20 feet due to the slick roads.

The 18-wheeler driver called 911 to assist the woman’s injuries.

The woman, who is in her mid 40’s, was transported unconscious to Ben Taub Hospital and reportedly lost her left eye and left arm.
