1 dead after speeding truck crashes into Camry at NW Freeway
HOUSTON, TX- A suspected intoxicated truck driver killed a passenger after slamming into a stopped car at a NW Freeway intersection on Sunday, ABC13 reports.
At 12:57a.m., a Toyota Camry stopped at a red light on the Northwest Freeway and Dacoma Street intersection. The speeding white truck then rear-ended the vehicle.
The driver and passenger seated in the front of the Camry were not injured, but the passengers in the backseat was killed on-site.
The at-fault driver did stay at the location until police arrived. An investigation is occurring as to whether the driver was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
