2 drivers strike, kill bicyclist near Fairway West
HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Two drivers fatally collided with a bicyclist on FM-529 near Hwy 6 on Tuesday, according to KTRK.
The first driver hit the victim and knocked him off the bicycle around 10:30 p.m. The bicyclist was walking to retrieve the bike when the second driver hit him.
Following the collision, the first driver stopped to render aid. The second driver did not stop and continued driving until his car started to leak oil. The driver called a tow truck. The tow truck driver alerted deputies.
The second driver told deputies he did not see what he struck.
Rescue crews transported the bicyclist to an area hospital, where he died.
