2 hurt after driver crashes through barrier on I-69 and lands on TX 8
HOUSTON, TX – Two people suffered life-threatening injuries after a driver crashed through a concrete barrier on I-69 Southwest Fwy NB and landed on TX 8 on Tuesday, according to KTRK.
A person was driving an SUV north when she plowed through a concrete barrier and launched into the freeway below, hitting two other vehicles in the process. Debris was strewn across the highway.
First responders transported the driver and passenger from the SUV to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the other two vehicles were not hurt.
Crews shut down the area to process the scene. The area was reopened by 11:30 a.m.
