2 off-duty deputies crash on Katy Freeway
HOUSTON, TX- Two off-duty Harris County deputies crashed into a wall and a car near Beltway 8 on Oct 2, Click2Houston reports.
It was around 2:30a.m. when the crash occurred. The Toyota 4-Runner SUV containing the deputies ran into a wall and spun from the force. A Toyota Corolla driving behind it attempted to evade the out-of-control vehicle but was hit anyway.
After being ejected from the vehicle, both deputies sustained serious injuries and were treated at Ben Taub Hospital. Law enforcement does not know whether they used seatbelts that night.
The victim’s injuries have not been made known.
The identities of the two deputies have not been released and the investigation continues.
