Rollover semi crash closes part of I-10 WB near Woodland Heights
HOUSTON, TX — An 18-wheeler overturned last Thursday morning, April 27, on Interstate 10 near Houston’s Woodland Heights neighborhood, reports ABC13.
The incident occurred on the westbound lanes (Katy Freeway) at Exit 767B to Taylor Street and was first reported by Houston Transtar at 4:41 a.m.
It was not immediately clear what caused the wreck, but the rollover led to a significant hazmat spill and a “lost load” that kept all westbound lanes in the area blocked for almost seven hours.
Shortly before 11:30 a.m., crews had cleared the scene from the westbound main lanes, which were reported reopened to traffic.
As of this writing, local agencies have not confirmed any serious injuries in the event.
