Crash in Galleria involves a suspect, hostage, and police
HOUSTON, TX- A 17 year-old was held hostage by a suspect who led the police in a car chase that ended in a crash on Richmond Avenue on April 16th, KTRK reports.
The chase began around 11a.m. at 2099 Southmore Boulevard and ended at 5400 Richmond Avenue when the pursued vehicle hit a pole.
The 17 year-old victim was the owner of the vehicle that the suspect used in the chase. The teenager sustained minor injuries from the single vehicle crash.
Authorities were not able to immediately catch the suspect as the person left the scene as soon as the collision occurred. However, the suspect was eventually caught at McCulloch Circle.
