Deadly crash reported on Westheimer Road
HOUSTON, TX- A man was killed by a Porsche after exiting a Voodoo Doughnut shop on Westheimer Road on April 19th, KTRK reports.
The Porsche was driving around 100mph when it lost control turning on Westheimer Road around 2:30a.m. After hitting the curb, the vehicle plowed 0ver the victim before striking a utility pole.
Authorities knew the Porsche had been speeding based off video footage and the reports of several witnesses, including the eyewitness report of Briana Iturrino, the woman who was on a date with the victim.
Iturrino explained the couple had just left Voodoo Doughnut after having gone to AvantGarden when she saw a flash and realized her date had disappeared. After calling for help, she had to perform CPR on the man.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene however.
In the front of the Porsche were two women in their thirties, and in the backseat was an adult male passenger. The driver currently faces intoxication manslaughter charges.
