Driver dies after car hits poles off Richmond Ave in west Houston
HOUSTON, TX — A woman died early Wednesday after a single-vehicle rollover crash in Houston’s Mid-West neighborhood, according to Click2Houston.
The fatal wreck occurred in the 9500 block of Richmond Avenue. Houston Police and Houston Fire crews responded to the scene at about 3:28 a.m.
Details remain limited, but authorities said the woman was driving a Hyundai Elantra when she veered off the roadway. Moments later, the car struck a curb and collided with two light poles.
Officials said the woman was killed by the impact of the crash with the second pole.
First responders arrived to find the vehicle rolled onto its side, and one pole uprooted from the ground.
No other vehicles were involved, and no other injuries were reported.
An investigation remains in progress.
