Hazmat team responds to rollover semi wreck, spill on I-610 in NE Houston
HOUSTON, TX — A heavy truck overturned Friday morning, prompting a hazmat response on Interstate 610 near Houston’s Pleasantville Area, reports KHOU11.
The accident happened on the southbound lanes of I-610 (East Loop) at Market Street, at around 8:56 a.m.
TranStar traffic cameras showed the big rig rolled onto its side, but it was unclear whether anyone was seriously injured or if another vehicle was impacted.
Part of the southbound interstate was shut down as crews tended to the tractor-trailer and the hazmat spill.
Officials did not immediately provide an estimated clearance time.
