Man, 73, dead following pedestrian vs. pickup truck on Rampart St. in Houston
HOUSTON, TX – A 73-year-old man died after he was struck by a pickup truck near Burnett Bayland Park Saturday.
The collision occurred at the 6200 block of Rampart St. around 9:30 pm, according to Houston Police.
The driver of a tan Toyota Tundra pickup truck tried to avoid another vehicle shortly after he hit a pedestrian who did not use the crosswalk.
The driver, a 74-year-old man, was unharmed. He was not impaired or under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
The pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
Houston Police have not released the names of the people involved and are investigating further details of Saturday’s crash.
