Man fatally hurt in Northside Village crash after likely medical emergency
HOUSTON, TX — A 68-year-old man died Tuesday afternoon after a single-vehicle accident in Houston’s Northside Village, according to the Houston Police Department.
The fatal collision occurred in the 3200 block of Fulton Street, near Clemente Martinez Elementary, at around 2:50 p.m.
HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division said the man was behind the wheel of a beige Chevrolet Suburban heading northbound when the vehicle veered off the roadway. The Suburban then jumped a curb and came to a rest at a fence.
Houston Fire Department crews rushed the victim to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
An investigation remains ongoing, but the HPD said the driver appeared to have suffered a medical episode moments before the accident.
