Motorcyclist fatally rear-ends delivery van on Galveston Road
HOUSTON, TX- A motorcycle driver died on the morning of April 6th when he crashed into the back of a white Ford F59 delivery van on Galveston Road, the Houston Police Department reports.
Around 8:55a.m., the southbound van turned to complete a U-turn at 5300 Galveston Road.
The 24 year-old male motorcyclist then crashed into the back right of the delivery vehicle. He was hospitalized at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center with life threatening injuries and died at the hospital later that same day. The victim’s name has not yet been revealed to the public.
The 47 year-old male driver of the van was not harmed in the accident. He stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities. There is no indication that he was driving while impaired.
This is an ongoing investigation.
