Mustang crashes on Loop 494, killing 11 year-old passenger
HOUSTON, TX- The driver of a Ford Mustang disregarded a stop sign on Loop 494 and was struck by a pickup truck, killing a juvenile passenger on April 19th, the HPD reports.
A white Dodge Ram was driving north when it hit a Mustang at 21700 Loop 494 around 6:30p.m. The Mustang had been driving east on Hamblen Road when it was hit at the intersection.
The innocent driver of the Ram was a 60 year-old man.
The driver of the Mustang was a 46 year-old male.
Neither seemed impaired nor was either seriously injured in the accident, although both were hospitalized.
The child who died was a passenger in the Mustang. This victim was pronounced dead at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood.
The investigation for this case remains open.
