Suspected drunk driver strikes, kills 2 women on FM 646
LEAGUE CITY, TX- Michael Ray Strother struck another vehicle while pulling out of the Hugh & Jeff’s Car Wash and Grill parking lot and killed two women on April 6th, KTRK reports.
The 69 year-old suspected drunk driver was attempting to turn onto the westbound section of FM 646 around 7:30p.m. when he struck the car near Gill Road.
The two victims of the crash were Genesta Humphrey, 28, and Jillian Coatney, 24. Humphrey died while hospitalized, and Coatney died at the scene of the accident. Strother was also hospitalized.
While hospitalized, Strother has been charged with two counts of intoxicated manslaughter.
The investigation remains active.
