Victim of Northside hit-and-run dies
NORTHSIDE, TX – According to KHOU, a man who was injured in a hit-and-run on West Canino Road near Northline Terrace on February 16 died on March 9.
A driver hit Luis Cru, 64, as Cruz was crossing the street to go to a store around 7 p.m.
First responders transported Cruz to an area hospital in critical condition.
Following the collision, the driver fled the scene.
Stores in the area captured surveillance footage of the suspect’s vehicle leaving the scene. However, authorities do not have any leads because the footage is poor quality.
The Houston Police Department’s Hit-and-Run Unity is investigating the incident.
