Woman, 46, dies from two-vehicle crash in Austin
AUSTIN, TX – A 46-year-old woman died, and two were injured in a two-vehicle crash at Burleson Road and FM 973 Tuesday.
CBS Austin said the collision happened at 11:55 pm. A 28-year-old man ran a red light which caused him to crash into the 46-year-old woman’s car. The impact of the collision was enough to overturn her vehicle. As a result, the woman – Priscilla Juarez – was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two of Juarez’s passengers were hospitalized for injuries. One sustained minor injuries while the other suffered life-threatening injuries.
Police identified the 28-year-old man as Randall Cavazos.
Cavazos was arrested for intoxication assault and intoxication manslaughter. However, it is unknown if Cavazos was injured.
