Young passenger of possibly intoxicated driver killed near Rosharon
ROSHARON, TX- A young woman was killed when the vehicle she was in crashed into another truck on State Highway 288 on Feb. 26th, KHOU11 reports.
At 4:30a.m., Jennifer Gonzalez was killed when the black Chevy pickup truck she was in crashed into a white GMC pickup truck. Gonzalez was a nineteen year-old young woman from Clute, TX.
Rodrigo Santa Cruz, 21, was the driver of the black Chevy. Cruz had been driving south on State Highway 288 when the truck crashed with the white truck along FM 1462.
Both Cruz and Gonzalez were hospitalized following the crash.
Cruz was not seriously injured and was arrested after being released from the hospital for suspected intoxication assault. Gonzalez was pronounced dead after arriving to the hospital.
The other driver was not harmed in this accident.
The incident as a whole remains under investigation.
