2 die after car becomes wedged under semitruck
HOUSTON, TX- Two young male occupants met their death on March 31st when their passenger car crashed into a semitruck on Beaumont Highway, KHOU11 reports.
The accident happened around 10:30p.m. when a semitruck paused midway through exiting an area on Beaumont Highway. This first semitruck paused to permit another truck to exit onto the roadway.
The passenger vehicle containing the two victims was traveling eastbound at a high velocity on this same road. It crashed into the first semitruck and became wedged underneath.
Video footage of the scene indicated that the entire front of the passenger vehicle was crumbled and demolished underneath the middle of the semitruck.
The identities of the victims have not been made known to the public yet. The two men who died at the scene were a 20 year-old passenger and a 21 year-old driver. No one else involved in the accident was injured.
The investigation for this crash has continued.
