Police find driver involved in street racing dead on I-10
CHAMBERS COUNTY, TX- A driver who was in a street race was found to be dead in his crashed vehicle on the side of East Freeway on Feb. 4th, KHOU reports.
A sheriff found the vehicle and its deceased driver because they had responded to the calls of several people who had witnessed the street racing. They reported that the cars drove on the interstate from the direction of Mont Belvieu.
Authorities first received calls around 2:30p.m. They drove along the interstate and found the vehicle and the body on the side of the road 15 minutes later. Images show the blue vehicle had crashed into a fence, and that there was significant damage to the front, bank, and underside of the car.
The name of the driver has not been released to the public.
Police did see other vehicles at the site when they first arrived, but all of these sports car drove away when they spotted the police.
