Hit-and-run on North Loop kills man who was helping another driver
HOUSTON, TX- A man was killed by the vehicle of a person he was trying to assist when another car crashed into it on the North Loop on March 6th, KHOU reports.
The at-fault driver who fled the scene initiated the chain-reaction collisions when the vehicle that person was in crashed into a blue Toyota Corolla near Wallisville Road. The Corolla was then pushed into a vehicle that was stuck on the side of the road. This vehicle was stranded due to a flat tire.
The victim who was killed in the accident had stopped driving his pickup truck to assist the stranded vehicle and driver. The victim was then struck and killed by the vehicle with the flat tire around 7:30p.m.
This accident caused all the southbound lanes to be closed down while authorities responded to the accident.
