Young woman extricated from wreck on Homestead Road
HOUSTON, TX- A 20 year-old woman was stuck in the wreckage of her car after she hit a semitruck on Homestead Road on April 20th, KTRK reports.
The woman had rear-ended a semi-truck at 6001 Homestead Road at 1:48a.m. The truck had been attempting a U-turn when it was struck.
The area where the crash happened is located right by a concrete mixing facility. Large trucks are often utilizing these roads.
After crashing, the Houston Fire Department worked on extricating the victim from her car for about half an hour, and she was hospitalized afterwards.
The whole front and side of the vehicle was heavily damaged.
One of the factors of the crash has been determined to be speeding.
