Motorcyclist fatally hurt in SW Spring crash after driver fails to yield
HARRIS COUNTY, TX — A motorcycle and a vehicle collided near a Spring driveway on Saturday, January 6, claiming the rider’s life, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened at 3200 Louetta Road, prompting an emergency response some time after 6:14 p.m.
Investigators with the HCSO’s Vehicular Crimes Division said Christopher Andrade was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle and traveling in lane 1 of the eastbound road when Sameer Salloum failed to yield as they began driving northwest across the eastbound lanes from a driveway. Moments later, Andrade’s Harley Davidson struck the left side of Salloum’s Toyota Prius.
Andrade suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by first responders.
Salloum, who stayed at the scene and cooperated with officials, was not suspected of impairment.
An investigation remains underway.
