Deputies investigate deadly wrong-way crash on Atascocita Rd in Humble
HUMBLE, TX – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal wrong-way collision that occurred on the 2300 block of Atascocita Rd on Sunday.
Donald Price was driving a red 2008 Ford F150 east on Atascocita Rd when he strayed into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with a 2002 Toyota Sequoia driven by Lauro Ochoa around 1:26 a.m.
Rescue crews transported both drivers to an area hospital, where Ochoa died. Price remains at the hospital in critical condition.
Authorities found narcotics in Price’s possession. Medical personnel ran blood tests and found narcotics in Price’s system.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
