Driver crashes into police car after disregarding light at W. Little York Rd.
HOUSTON, TX- A driver ignored a red light and train crossing arms, hitting a police’s car head-on on Jan. 5th at W. Little York Rd., KHOU11 reports.
The Lexus hit the car at W. Little York Road and Hempstead at 10a.m.

The policeman was on-duty but was not driving to respond to a call. Witnesses claim he definitely had the green light as the light had been green for some time when the other driver drove into him.
The passenger of the Lexus was hospitalized. If she dies from her injuries, the charge against the driver of the Lexus could become more serious.
For now, the driver of the Lexus faces a reckless aggravated assault charge. This type of charge means that the driver may be imprisoned for 20 years at the max. As stated previously, if the victim dies, there may be additional consequences and a heavier charge against the driver.
