Pedestrian killed after struck by two vehicles on I-45
HOSUTON, TX- A man was fatally hit by two cars while crossing I-45 close to Griggs Road on Feb. 20th, KTRK reports.
When the first vehicle, a white Nissan, hit the pedestrian around 12a.m., the victim was pushed over the vehicle.
The second car then struck the pedestrian.
It remains unclear why the pedestrian was crossing I-45 in the first place.
The Houston Police Department and the Houston Fire Department both responded to this emergency call.
Upon arriving, these authorities found the victim dead and they also saw that the Nissan driver seemed to be intoxicated.
The police took this driver into custody, waiting to see if charges would be filed by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office for driving while impaired.
No information was provided regarding the second driver who was involved in the accident.
