Wrong way accident kills 1 on Beltway 8
HOUSTON, TX- A truck driver who was driving north in the southbound lane left another driver dead on the Beltway 8 on April 1st, Click2Houston reports.
The pickup truck that was counterflow driving struck the sedan around 5a.m. It is believed that the truck was speeding in addition to driving in the wrong lane.

The at-fault driver was hospitalized with serious injuries but the sedan driver died at the scene. The sedan driver was commuting to work when his car was struck.
Woodforest Boulevard was used as a detour while authorities responded to and investigated the crash that occurred at 4100 E. Sam Houston Parkway N.
