Young man killed in collision on Highway 90
HOUSTON, TX- A 23 year-old young man was fatally rear-ended by a dually truck on Highway 90 around March 22nd, KTRK reported.
Darius Taylor was the victim of the accident. He had been driving home on Highway 90 when he experienced car trouble near Hillcroft Ave.
Taylor parked the vehicle on the side of the highway and called for help. He was able to get in touch with his mom and girlfriend as well as roadside assistance. All three sources of assistance were on their way over when a dually truck slammed into Taylor and his smoking vehicle.
Taylor was announced dead at the scene. The site of the accident was within a 10 minute drive of his house.
As for the driver of the truck, he cooperated with authorities once they arrived. He was tested for intoxication and is currently not being charged for anything.
The investigation is ongoing.
