1 dead, 1 injured in wreck on Gessner Rd
HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Police Department is investigating a deadly wreck that happened on Gessner Rd near Tanner Rd on Sunday, according to KHOU.
A man was driving a pickup truck north on Gessner at high speeds when he lost control of the vehicle. The truck hit the median before flipping over four times, landing in the southbound lanes. The driver was ejected from the truck during the crash.
Rescue crews pronounced the driver dead at the scene. They extricated his female passenger to an area hospital in critical condition.
Crews shut down the roadway for several hours to investigate the collision.
