1 dead after car vs big rig crash on Crosby-Lynchburg Rd in NE Harris County
HARRIS COUNTY, TX — One person died Monday morning following a crash involving an 18-wheeler near north Highlands, reports ABC13.
The accident happened in the 11400 block of Crosby-Lynchburg Road at Floyd and was first reported by Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez at 8:11 a.m.
It remains unclear what led up to the wreck, but officials say a sedan and a semi-truck were involved, resulting in the death of one person at the scene.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has not disclosed the identity of the victim or indicated any other major injuries.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area and seek other routes as a stretch of Crosby-Lynchburg Road was closed in both directions.
An investigation remains underway.
