1 dead after semi-truck’s lost load hits another vehicle near Hutcheson Park
HOUSTON, TX – One person is dead after a semi truck’s lost load slammed into two vehicles at I-610 N Loop WB and Homestead Rd on Wednesday, according to ABC 13.
A person driving a small Mazda was attempting to switch lanes and hit a semi-truck hauling a bulldozer around 3:10 p.m.
The collision caused the bulldozer to become unattached from the semi-truck and go into the eastbound lanes where it hit two cars.
Rescue crews transported two people from the crash to area hospitals, where one of the drivers died.
Officials shut down both directions of I-610 N Loop to clear the scene and investigate the wreck. The area was reopened on Thursday.
The Houston Police Department is investigating the incident.
