1 dead after two-vehicle crash on US-290 NB in Cypress
HARRIS COUNTY, TX — One person died Thursday morning after a collision on U.S. Highway 290 in southeast Cypress, according to ABC13.
The fatal accident happened on the outbound lanes of US-290 (Northwest Freeway/State Route 6) near Barker Cypress Road. It was first listed by Houston Transtar at around 6:30 a.m.
While the cause of the crash has not been disclosed, one outbound lane remained open following the crash, and shortly before 8:00 a.m., all outbound lanes of the highway were shut down. One lane was reopened again nearly an hour later.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office confirmed one person died as a result of injuries sustained in the wreck.
No information regarding other potential injuries has been shared, and no pending charges have been reported.
