1 dead following fiery crash on FM 529 near Jersey Village

JERSEY VILLAGE, TX – One person died in a fiery, single-vehicle crash on FM 529 near Fairview Street on Tuesday morning, according to Click 2 Houston.

Emergency crews extricated two people from the burning car. One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was transported to the hospital in serious condition.

A deputy burned his hand while extricating one of the victims from the car.

Crews shut down the area to process the scene. It was reopened around 9 a.m.
