1 dead in pedestrian collision on Airline Drive in Houston
HOUSTON, TX – A male is dead following a fatal auto vs. pedestrian collision on the 6700 block of Airline Drive on Monday, according to the Houston Police Department.
A 51-year-old woman was driving a black Chevrolet Tahoe south on Airline Drive when she hit a male in a wheelchair as he was crossing the road from east to west around 10 p.m.
Following the collision, the driver parked and called 911.
First responders pronounced the male dead at the scene.
Authorities determined the driver was not impaired. She was questioned and released.
Officials have not released the victim’s name.
The HPD Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
