1 driver arrested, 1 killed following collision on Brittmoore Road
HOUSTON, TX – A man died and a woman was arrested in a fatal collision on Brittmoore Road early Friday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.
Meagan Elizabeth Jones, 22, was driving a silver Toyota Corolla north when she collided with a black Dodge Charger stopped at the stop sign at Brittmoore Road and Old Katy Road around 2 a.m. The collision pushed the Charger into the intersection.
The 23-year-old man driving the Charger exited his vehicle and was then hit by a westbound Chevrolet Captiva.
First responders transported the Charger driver to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. ]
Authorities arrested Jones and charged her with driving while intoxicated.
The Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
