1 injured in fifth wheel rollover on I-10 WB near Beltway 8
HOUSTON, TX – At least one person sustained injuries Sunday in multi-vehicle crash involving a fifth wheel on the east side of Houston, reports Fox 26.
Shortly before 1 p.m., emergency crews responded to an accident on the westbound side of I-10, or the East Freeway, near TX-8, or the Sam Houston Tollway. This is in the Channelview area.
Police say that for unknown reasons a fifth wheeler RV overturned along the interstate. Another vehicle may also have been involved in the incident.
Medics transported a man involved in the crash to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the accident or the total number of people involved.
The collision blocked the westbound side of I-10 near TX-8 while teams attended to the victims and worked to clear the scene.
