1 killed, 1 injured by counterflow driver on 610 N. Loop
HOUSTON, TX- One person died and another was injured after a crash caused by a counterflow driver on 610 North Loop on Nov. 26th, KHOU11 reports.
Police from Harris County Precinct 1 pursued a female driver who was driving in the wrong lane from Hardy Toll Road all the way to North Loop. The police drove in the correct lane while they chased the Honda Civic.
At 1:30a.m., the Honda Civic crashed into a Chevrolet Tahoe head-on at North Loop near N. McCarty Street.
The responsible driver was killed while the victim in the Chevrolet was hospitalized at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital.
The ongoing investigation is being run by both the HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division and Precinct 3.
