1 killed, 1 injured in wrong-way crash at I-610, Woodway
HOUSTON, TX – A 38-year-old man died Monday in a wrong-way collision in near Memorial Park in central Houston, reports KHOU 11.
Shortly before 1 a.m., emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash on the access ramp from Woodway Drive to 610 West Loop. This is south of the intersection with I-10 in the West Oaks area.
Police say that a southbound Lexus ES350 entered the northbound side of the access road and collided head on with a northbound Toyota Sienna.
The wrong-way driver, who has not yet been named by authorities, died at the scene.
Medics transported the driver of the Toyota to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
